Happy 1 week Birthday Talon!

Today is Talon's birthday - he is officially 1 week old!! I can't believe it...


It has been a crazy week for sure. Matt and I get very little sleep... yes we were warned, but one just can't imagine until you're in the midst of it. It is, however, amazing how awake you can feel after a 2-3 hour "nap". Talon has been so good... we are truly very lucky! He is very strong already. We put him on the floor for some "tummy time" a couple nights ago and he can already roll himself onto his back! He also continues to show his stubborn streak especially at feeding time. He'll get fussy and insistent that he wants to be fed and once I try to do so he just looks at me like "I wanted this a minute ago, but now I'll have to think about it". Guess with Matt and I as parents we shouldn't be surprised.


Big "sister" Sydney has been really good, though she doesn't really know what to think of him. We could tell the other day that she now realizes he probably isn't going anywhere and has started "pouting". I'm sure the next phase will be her finding something to destroy in the house to really show us her displeasure. Ultimately she just ignores him. I don't think she'll ever reach "that damn dog" status, but she definitely doesn't have out undivided attention any longer.


Grandpa Eric left this morning to drive back to Oregon... we'll miss him, but are so glad he was able to come out and stay for a while. Luckily Grandma Patty will be here until mid-November to help us out.
